Photography Essay - Château d'Antoing (Part 3)

This is the third and last part of Château d'Antoing, where The Devil's Nightmare (1971) was made. For the original post, with more information about the castle, check out this post on our sister website, Travel Memories.

The Interior of the Castle

Better be in good physical condition, because there is a lot of climbing to do! We recognized the interior on the first floor of the movie.

On the second floor, we saw a bedroom. By the way, these rooms are not used by the family who currently lives in the castle.

And we kept on climbing...

The next floor looked really familiar... Then we realized that in the movie one of the characters was murdered here.

Finally, on the way down again, I took some pictures of details that struck me.

In the next post, I will publish pictures from one of the least touristy places in Belgium, called Meetjesland.

Photography Essay - Château d'Antoing (Part 2)

Yesterday I posted pictures of the enclosing walls and the bolewerk, today I start with the exterior of the castle itself.

The Castle

The College

I also photographed the building that once served as a college - where Charles de Gaulle was a student.

The Chapel

Of all the places outside, this was by far my favorite spot.

In the third and last part, I will post all the pictures of the interior of the castle.
