A Stroll in Bois de la Cambre in Brussels

It is a general misconception that Brussels is a grey city; with its 19 municipalities each having at least one park at its disposal, it is actually one of the greenest European capitals. Go away from the centre and you will find yourself in one of the magnificent forests surrounding Brussels.

With an area covering 1.23 square kilometres, the Bois de la Cambre is one of the biggest parks in Brussels. It is located in the south of the Belgian capital and its easily accessible with public transport. There is a lake in the park, with an island in it, called Robinson's Island. The building that you can see in one of the pictures is called La Cambre Abbey.

China Light Zoo 2016 - 2017

Antwerp Zoo is the oldest zoo in Belgium, and also one of the most popular. Since 2014, almost every winter, the zoo organises a light show called China Light Zoo, featuring light installations depicting characters and themes from Chinese culture and history. The show has attracted a lot of visitors since its first edition. The pictures that I have chosen are from the 2016 - 2017 edition.

Enjoy!
